The interface for V4 is such a POS and my faith in WotC to improve it is virtually nil unless the negative reactions of the masses are unified enough to hit em where it hurts (sales). Playing feels like a tedious chore instead of a fun game, so... where's the incentive? I'll prolly be logging in once or twice a week instead of near daily like before. I sure as hell don't intend to spend more money on it until it improves. Or until the addiction kicks my ass and forces me to cave. We'll see which happens first.

I agree, I'm in the same boat right now. I think it's bs that we're forced to switch over to the new client when the old one works better.

Yeah, sucks. it's quite easy to use after a while but the gameplay/bugs etc are terrible.

the entire social part of the game is gone. all the stupid pop ups are just annoying. the game isnt all that hard to play but it is hard to follow at first. but yeah the social part is wack. ya cant see who's on or watching a game unless you go through too many clicks to look. windows w/priority is such a pain in the ass w/o i amagine duel monitors to be able to keep all the fk'n windows veiwable. plus i found out today that ya cant eject your random quitting partner. I long on to play a 1v1 vintage but that only takes forever cuz there's like five peps playing the format. but i've noticed in the constructed ques and limited ques there were over four thousand suckers ready to dump tix to play. and am i dump or did the 1v1 constructed match tourny's price go up, it was two tix to play now it's four??!!

I think the 4 tix price is because of the value of the prize. As long as 1v1 constructed pays VMA packs, WotC has to charge double since a VMA pack sells from the store for 7 tix. Otherwise, ppl would just play 1v1s and sell the packs for 5 tix or something and no one would buy from the store anymore.

And yeah, from what I'm reading on the forums, the drafters are happy little buggers with the new client. Its the casual crowd that have it bad and the casual multi crowd that really got screwed.

Played some Phantom M15 seeing as I had some new ticket like currency in my collection.. I still strongly dislike it, but I want to play the game so bad I almost don't care anymore. I think this is what they want. Ugh.

Hey guys.  Sorry I've been quiet so long.  My gaming laptop died shortly after my last post.  It was either the mobo or the power supply so I tried ordering a new supply, which, of course didn't fix it.  Had to RMA it which took about a month.  Anyway, I'm back up and running.  About to log in for the first time since the week they killed V3.  We'll see how long I can stand it. >_<

Edit: aaand that was quick. Logged in, saw it was just as dead and hideous as I remembered it being, watched a friend play a 2hg with the disgusting interface and called it a night.

Welcome back Flaky. Maybe we could figure out how to play Email based MTG and enjoy it more than the current client. I'll be wading back into the waters shortly, have a lot of things going on right now and putting in ~70 hours a week. I'm not dead, and I refuse to give up MTG.. almost picked up a M15 duel pack from a brick and mortar store so I could teach my daughter how to play...

I visited a comic store and got 9 packs of the RTR expansions (5 Gatecrash and 4 of the other one that I can't remember) the last time I visited my friend in VA. My sis was along so we did a 3 person draft. Was hella fun - I even pulled a Domri and Stomping Ground.

So I finally played a few games on the V4 client for the first time since the week it left beta.  I saw Noahh had a table open so I hopped in.  One opponent got exasperated in the early midgame because his pard didn't block a Brago attack, letting Noahh flicker his Trinket Mage and Simulcrum-clone plus a tapped Sol Ring.  That opponent quit and the resulting 2v1 was pretty one-sided.

So we tried again, and this time, we got a "F8 is your friend" jackass who bailed because everybody but him was taking time to think before moving.  I just said fuggit and jumped out too, so that at least Noahh and the other guy could have an interesting game.  It did turn into a good match between the two of them, but for me, the experience consisted of 2 half games that were too boring to distract me from the godawful v4 interface.  I still hate WotC.

I hear they fixing the chats so hopefully that will get things rolling a little. But I cant stand fk'n with that editor. I'm slow enough, I dont need to be slowed down even more. But I am on under the user insane topdeck skills. I'd love to get a good game of 2hg in. Ffs it's been too long since i've played a game "with" anyone.

I missed you by about 4 hours. I got on at 1am EST. Played a 1v1 EDH that ended turn 0, prolly because my opp didn't want to go toe to toe with Geist. (I had a beast hand too )

Then got a PM from Skysudds (one of my non-clan buddies) so I did a STD 2hg with him which was actually pretty fun, despite the shitty client interface. First good game I've had since v3.

If there's a time you'd like to get a game in today or tomorrow, post it and I'll see if I can make it. Evenings are tricky tho - got family obligations and stuff to work around.

yah i hear that, i've gone back to working at a job for a living as of three months ago so between that and the shitty client. games are few and far between. but i do log in either 3ish pm till 10ish pm. Yes whenever the family obligations allow
